Feind Irsai Olivér, 2024

A Hungarian variety. It was bred by Pál Kocsis in 1930. There are many legends surrounding the choice of name; it is probably named after the son of his friend, József Irsai, who was called Oliver and was born in the same year as the variety. It produces light, refreshing wines with restrained acidity and a fragrant character, as well as a musky, grape-floral aroma that is among the most distinctive. It is one of the most dominant white varieties we work with at Feind Winery. It is fresh, fragrant and crisp — a real fruit bomb. It is the ideal welcome drink. It goes well with light salads and white meat dishes and oriental spiced dishes are also great matches.
