Gróf Degenfeld Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos, 2017

Aszú is the queen among the Tokaj wine specialities. The preparation requires a special technology and high professional knowledge. The late harvested grapes are affected by noble rot. The hand selected berries go through a complicated wine making procedure, resulting in a unique, sweet nectar. We picked the aszú grapes by hand.

Besides the notes of barrel aging, the nose displays citrus fruits. Tropical and candied fruits return on the palate, complemented by notes of honey and sweet mandarin. This wine is characterized by great complexity and long aging potential.

This wine won a platinum medal at the 2022 Decanter World Wine Awards.
