Sweet Tokaj – The Crown Jewels of Natural Sweet Wines Masterclass

László Mészáros director has been working for Disznókő since 1995.  An agricultural engineer, he studied in Hungary and in France. After finishing his studies, he started to work at Disznókő where he was engaged in establishing the estate’s finances and in the management of its investments. He became passionate about Tokaj and especially the pioneering Disznókő style. Since January 2000 László has been the Director of Disznókő. He supervises all the vineyard works and winemaking, and also assures the management of the estate. Between 2005 and 2008 László was the chairman of the Union of the Classified Vineyards of Tokaj, Tokaj Renaissance. He has worked tirelessly to promote the wines of Tokaj all over the world, holding seminars in the major European cities.

Dr Péter Molnár completed his studies in Hungary with an MSc in horticulture. In 1993, after working at the Tokaj Research Centre, he started his doctoral studies and in 1999 he became a doctor of agriculture, specialising in viticulture. He has been the managing director of Patricius Tokaj since 2000. He is responsible for the management, viticulture and oenology of the winery. From 2008 to 2011 he was the president of Tokaj Renaissance – Union of Classified Vineyards of Tokaj, working on the regional promotion and origin protection of the Tokaj wine region. Continuing this mission, since 2013 he has represented Tokaj on the board of the National Council of Hungarian Wine Communities, and since 2018 he has been the president of the Council of Tokaj Wine Communities. He is the head of the Mathiász Institute of Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Tokaj.
