Böjt Egri Bikavér Superior, 2022

Our flagship Bikavér Superior red blend. Made mostly from Kékfrankos and complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon, Zweigelt, Blauburger and Pinot Noir. The grapes are hand-harvested from an area that is transitioning to organic farming. It undergoes controlled fermentation in tanks and then spends 24 months in 225- and 300-litre oak barrels, followed by six months in the bottle. The result is an elegant wine with fine tannins and vibrant acidity. Egri Bikavér, also known as ‘Bull’s Blood of Eger’, is a historic and iconic red wine blend from the Eger wine region. It is renowned for its deep colour, rich character and layered complexity.
