Böjt Egri Csillag Superior, 2024

The grapes were grown in an organically farmed vineyard. The 2024 vintage is the first to be officially certified as organic. The wine underwent tank fermentation and was aged for four months, with 70% in tanks and 30% in oak barrels. This harmonious blend comprises Olaszrizling, Leányka, Muscat and Sauvignon Blanc grape varieties. It has an aroma of spring flowers and a crystal-clear, light taste with mineral notes, lime, citrus and grapefruit. The wine has a light yet complex character. Egri Csillag was created in 2011 as the white counterpart to the renowned Egri Bikavér. It must include at least four grape varieties, ≥50% of which must be indigenous to the Carpathian Basin. It is designed to showcase the diverse terroir and native grape heritage of the Eger wine region.
