Not the most common variety in the Balaton region. Produced only in outstanding vintages from selected grapes in limited quantities. This vintage won a gold medal at the Winelovers Awards in 2025 and was ranked 20th out of the top 100 wines. Dark burgundy in colour, full-bodied but not heavy, with fine, round tannins and notes of dried fruit. It was bottled after 18 months of barrel ageing. It is a most exciting match with red meat and game dishes, as well as chocolate.
