The single-vineyard Hatalos Furmint is always made using traditional methods. The grapes are hand-harvested, gently pressed, destemmed, then settled and fermented in stainless steel tanks. 30% of the wine is then aged in Hungarian oak barrels, while the rest is aged in stainless steel tanks for 6 months. It is a full-bodied wine with sufficient acidity and lovely, juicy fruit as well as a hint of sweetness. The palate displays mineral notes, a touch of camphor, flowers, fermentation esters and tertiary aromas.
