We began harvesting the grapes in mid-August 2024. Due to the mild winter and warmer-than-average spring, the vegetation cycle began early. Following ideal rainfall in spring, a very dry and hot summer ensued, meaning that this year’s harvest began exceptionally early. Vitorlás is 100% Olaszrizling and has a style that falls between Friss and 4Hegy. Unlike Friss, we harvest it at full maturity and, unlike 4Hegy, we produced it using 100% reductive fermentation and longer lees ageing. Around 50,000 bottles of the 2024 vintage were produced.
