Kadarka was widely planted in Hungary for centuries. Its acreage has shrunk drastically, and nowadays only a few wineries still cultivate it. Our founder was named the Ambassador of Hungarian Kadarka, so we produce an easy-drinking red called Schiller and a superior red wine from it. It is generally light in colour with spicy aromas and nice acidity. It is a Pinot-like indigenous variety. Our Kadarka is produced using low yields, manual harvesting, fermentation in open-top fermenters and short-term ageing in oak.
