‘Harmados’ means ‘one third’ in reference to both our yield restriction during the growing season and a historical tradition. In earlier times, peasants working for wealthy farmers were paid in kind with one third of the harvest, a custom which we honour in name. This Kadarka hails from the breezy, south-east-facing plateau of Kerékhegy in Szekszárd. The grapes were hand-harvested in the first half of September. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve freshness.
Tasting notes: Bright acidity leads, supported by fresh, crunchy red fruit flavours — think rosehip and sloe — which give the wine its vibrancy and finesse.
