If you’re looking for a red wine that perfectly captures the character of Lake Balaton, look no further than Kékfrankos. The fact that this grape variety, like Olaszrizling, is able to show its terroir characteristics as well as its own flavours plays a big part in this. We have bottled a rich, fruity Kékfrankos with medium body and short barrel ageing.
A complex and rich, deep ruby red Kékfrankos. The fairly intense nose offers cherries, brandied cherries, cinnamon and nutmeg. The typical notes of Kékfrankos are beautifully complemented by the maturation in small oak barrels. On the palate, the wine has medium body, high acidity and high tannin content. It is a spicy and fiery red wine with a taste of sour cherry, vanilla and oriental spices. We recommend it with black pudding and game.
