Homola Winery is a family-owned winery at Lake Balaton, cultivating on the 15 hectares of the unique soil of red sandstones on the northwest shores of the lake. The vineyards are currently in conversion to organic viticulture. The wines are made with minimal intervention, mostly unfiltered and unrefined. Homola works mainly with local varieties, especially Olaszrizling and Kékfrankos and has an increasing focus on traditional method sparkling wine based on Furmint. Homola Winery owns one of the most beautiful wine terraces in the region, a perfect place for admiring the panoramic view of the lake.
