Kancellár Birtok is one of the youngest wineries in the Somló wine region. Ferenc Horváth, Chancellor of the Somló and Surroundings Wine-road Association and Order of Wine Knights, together with his family members, launched the winery of 11 hectares at the time. Today they cultivate 22 hectares of typical Somló varieties. They are committed to the terroir and firmly believe that Somló wine can only be produced responsibly. In addition to geological, climatic and other features, they believe that “terroir” includes the respect for grapes, wine and the people working in the vineyards, including their valuable experience.
