Kúria Sopron Winery commenced operations during the 2024 harvest. It belongs to the same “Kúria Family” brand as Etyeki Kúria. They have been growing grapes in the Sopron wine region since 2006. They have successfully introduced Blaufrankisch and Merlot varieties to the market in their Sopron vineyards. The head winemaker is Sándor Mérész, who has already made his mark on the Hungarian wine industry. In recognition of his work, Sándor has been among the top 50 nominees for the “Winemaker of the Winemakers” award every year since 2013.
