Garai is a family-run winery located on Nyéki Hill in Szekszárd, established in 2013. Two generations work together to craft artisanal wines, with a focus on local red varieties such as Kékfrankos, Kadarka and Bikavér. Ákos Garai, the young winemaker, also grows and vinifies native white varieties and produces sparkling wines. Their premium Táuninger line, made from Cabernet blends, honours their Swabian roots. Far from the noise of the city and with stunning views of the Sárköz region, Garai produces limited, high-quality wines. They will soon release a Kékfrankos-based blend called Szekszárd. They are seeking partners who appreciate small-batch, authentic Hungarian wines with a compelling family story.
