The Polgár Winery is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in the Villány wine region. Zoltan Polgár produced his first wine in 1976, meaning that 2025 marked his 49th vintage under his own name. Mr Polgár was awarded the ‘Winemaker of the Year’ prize in 1996. One of his most prized awards is the Trophy of Excellence at the Citadelles du Vin in Bordeaux, in addition to numerous other prestigious national and international wine competition awards.
