Thanks to the loess soils of Máriás vineyard in Tokaj and the unique microclimate, MARIASY Aszú is a rich, floral and fruity wine with an excellent balance of acidity and sugar, perfect elegance, a wonderful colour and fantastic aromas. This noble sweet wine can only be produced in some vintages, when the conditions are optimal for the grapes to develop into aszú berries due to the action of Botrytis cinerea. To create a 5-puttonyos aszú, 125 kg of individually hand-selected aszú berries were added to a 136-litre gönci barrel of high-quality fermenting Furmint and Muscat Lunel.
